An interesting that we learned about San Jose is that the entire Plaza de César Chávez is converted for Christmas in the Park and ice skating rink during the holiday season! It was a challenge during those months because a lot of our game explores the park and surrounding areas, so we were very happy to reopen the parts of that had been closed.
One big change we made was the addition of several image-based trivia outbreaks that we’ve been incorporating on our team building courses in other cities. For example, can you name this constellation?
Or can you name this hand tool? We’re impressed if you can!
Another area where we spend time as revamp each city course is to make sure that the landmarks we use in the game (sculptures, historical markers, funny sites, hidden secrets) have not wandered off! We combine a virtual walk-through of San Jose, a look at the analytics on all of our location questions, and a constant eye on local news feeds to see if things have changed. For example, we’ve been watching for changes to the exterior of the Camera Cinemas theater that was recently sold and doing a local art inventory. It it quite the fun endeavor to learn how to keep pace with a changing city from our home-base of Seattle.
San Jose is a beautiful downtown to explore, particularly for an afternoon of team building with your co-workers. We hope that you enjoy a fantastic competition in SJ while saving thousands of lives from a deadly super-virus!
