Junior Achievement of Washington will be hosting a Golf Classic & Auction at Sahalee on July 11, 2016. The event is a fundraiser for the educational programs managed by JA across Washington State.
MetroDemic is a proud supporter of this event and has donated a 50-person company team building event on Seattle’s eastside for the silent auction portion of the event.
The mission of Junior Achievement as stated on their website is:
JA is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s kindergarten through grade 12 programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.
MetroDemic co-founder Kris Neese stated, “As a parent of two kids, I wholeheartedly support the kinds of programs that are being pushed forward by Junior Achievement of Washington. There is a huge focus on testing in the local school system, but not enough emphasis on how to thrive in real world once a kid leaves the nest. These are skills that we want our kids to grasp and love the idea of blending it into their existing curriculum.”
One lucky bidder at the silent auction will be walking away with a company team building event that can be played in downtown Bellevue at any time in the next year. They’ll compete against teams of colleagues to save as many souls as possible from a deadly epidemic
